About Us

Adrift from the Quay is an independent coastal lifestyle store based on Ilfracombe Harbour in North Devon.

What began as a small harbour-side shop has gradually evolved into a space that blends carefully chosen outdoor brands with our own in-house clothing and artwork inspired by the coast, wildlife, maritime culture, and a slightly darker sense of humour.

Alongside trusted brands (in store only), you’ll find our own original ranges including Adrift from the Quay and Skullduggery Incorporated — a fictional long-standing organisation specialising in questionable decisions, maritime mischief, and general bad conduct since 1692.

Everything we make is developed in-house, combining illustration, drawing and design to create pieces with their own character. Produced in small runs, our focus is simply on making things we enjoy creating and people enjoy wearing.

This website was never intended to be a giant online operation. It exists mainly for those who found us in person and wanted a way to return for more once they’d gone home.
