Everything you see here begins with an idea, but there’s no single way it gets to the finished design. Some pieces are drawn entirely by hand, others are built through illustration and design, and some go through countless changes before they finally feel right.

This series is drawn by hand in Procreate, often beginning with a photographic reference before the characters take on a life of their own. Clothing, colour and details are then built up in layers to create the finished illustration.
Skullduggery Incorporated starts with an idea, then gets drawn, adjusted and stripped back until it works. This is one of the simpler designs — built by hand in Procreate using a limited palette and plenty of negative space.
